OUR HISTORY

Christ Fellowship is a recent church plant of Calvary Bible Church, a gospel-centered, evangelical, reformed church in central Fort Worth. We are the fruit of Calvary’s commitment to the Great Commission. Jesus gave this commission to his disciples before he ascended to heaven: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matt. 28:18-20).

Calvary Bible Church understands the New Testament to teach that Jesus’s Great Commission is fulfilled in fullest flower by planting healthy churches.

In 2015, Calvary sent out her associate pastor, another elder, and 50 people to plant a church nearby in Mansfield, TX. Thus, Living Hope Bible Church was born. Desiring to be used of God to plant more churches in the greater Fort Worth area, Calvary hired a new associate pastor as a prospective church planter. The Lord was pleased to continue slowly growing the church family at Calvary over the next few years, making possible another church plant. In the Fall of 2020, Calvary once again sent out her associate pastor, yet another elder, and over 70 people (members and their children) to establish Christ Fellowship Bible Church. Our first worship service was August 16th, 2020.

We know that we are a very small part of a very big thing Jesus is doing all over the world: saving sinners from all nations, gathering a people for Himself, for His good pleasure and His glory.
